2011. Progress report.

I’m going to go through the book again. A good and old, (can I say learned, without sounding pompous and four hundred years old?) friend has read through the book and made some interesting and very helpful and constructive observations. They were so perceptive, and his time was decicated that, Jean-Marc Vanderloo (no, not the Dutch model) has agreed to edit the book for me. Actually it’s not his real name. Maybe his real name will be revealed. In any case, and maybe this is the second most important aspect, as well as his attention to detail, he’s now an honoury Dutch person, having spent the last few years living, breathing, drinking, eating, suffering, reclining in Dutch life and culture. We’ll see how it goes.

It remains for me, after a break away, to have another look at the book and to clarify a few areas, cut here, add there, and to just ready it. Hopefully Mister Vanderloo (I promise I’m not making him up. I haven’t lost it yet) will nip and tuck other bits in the book, to give it a concise structure.

I think with the publishing route we’ll see how that goes but I have some ideas.

In other minor news I’ll be working on completing Media Unfriendly short fiction collection and I’ve already begun a new novel.

Better get on. Not now obviously as I’m distracted by Trevor McDonald taking about French bulls.
