What an interestingly frustrating day of writing it hasn’t been. It’s been wasted trying to recover my novel after my laptop for some unknown reason, that it refused to go into, failed to open my fucking novel.

All the work I’d done on the first five chapters over the last week had to be painstakingly restored, corrected via wordpad. It was lucky that I had an earlier draft on the main computer so I only had to restore the first five chapters.

Consulted forums, did some troubleshooting and looked for help via Google. Any good? You’re kidding! All the symptoms of my problems had some solutions, if you could of course understand the computer jargons and code speak. (We aren’t all computer programmers! Understand!) So I import the file into wordpad, copy and paste it back into word and spent the whole day reassembling it. In fact had it not been for some bright spark via Yahoo Answers who told me how to delete the spaces in between the letters, so my novel w o u l d n ‘t l o o k l i k e t h i s, rearrange and realign the spacing, I’d have been here all week trying to sort it. So…no new material or rewrites today, although I was able to delete a scene which I’ll put some time…as it’s too daft…even for this book.
